You know, the one thing that I don't like about sewing with black is that details don't show up in the pictures! This was the best of the lot and it was too cold to stay out for longer than absolutely necessary.
I finished this jacket (Simplicity 2766) a couple of days before Thanksgiving and have decided that I am going to be lazy. I finished off the jacket seams with a Hong Kong finish throughout. I really feel like I should have made the underlining with a silky-type lining instead of the linen batiste I had, it would have gone on a lot easier. I also should have made this a size larger.
I haven't been posting but have been busy sewing. This jacket, a dress, another jacket, three t-shirts and three skirts, with more to come! Instead of reviewing them here and over at PatternReview, I'm just going to show y'all pictures and then tell you bits about the sewing or fabric that I'm not planning on including in the review. Okay? I've just sewn too much to want to write everything twice!
